I’m very excited the book chosen for #onebookonetumblr is Jonathan Safran Foer’s novel, Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close. I had just found the book and started reading it. Having never participated in a book club or reading group, I am interested to see how this will go. Hopefully everyone will be able to gain new insights and see the book from a different perspective than he/she would have alone.

As I start reading this book, I am already drawn in by Foer’s writing style and I love the drawings and photographs throughout. The main character, Oskar, is making such deep, interesting insights, especially for a nine-year-old. His quirky personality makes for an interesting read. I am looking forward to reading more.
